Congratulations on clearing our entrance test and getting admission in our offline English, Public Speaking & Self-Development Course from 7:15 - 9:45 am, Nov 11, 2024 - Jan 11, 2025

A few details to share with you:

  • Classes will be conducted on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, Saturday. There will be extra stage practice, Q&A and library work from 9.45 am to 10.15 am.

    You can ask your queries in class or send them ahead of time to me by email on diptishahsinstitute@gmail.com or WhatsApp on 93274 60839 or to Amit Sir on diptishahs@gmail.com or WhatsApp on 98250 19783. Your group leaders will be delighted to help you too.

  • There will be 2-3 hours of homework per day—practice of reading aloud/listening, speaking, grammar, vocabulary, reading, and some writing. Plan to do it, enjoy it and benefit tremendously!

    Every evening, you will fill out your Weekly Homework Report and every Sunday evening you will fill it out online for your group leader.

    On Thursday & Sunday, you must complete pending work/submit homework, but mostly enjoy watching English movies, drama series, documentaries, etc. with subtitles and imbibe the spirit of the English language and entertainment in your life!

  • There will also be optional grammar revision sessions on Thursday morning (same as class time) in the four weeks!

  • In weeks two, three, four and eight, there will be four multiple-choice online grammar tests from 9 to 10.15 pm on Thursday evening.

Our course material/methods:

  • “Essential English Grammar” by Raymond Murphy, Cambridge University Press Shout out/understand lessons/exercises in class, write and check answers, and submit them as weekly homework.

  • “Who Will Cry When You Die,” a collection of 101 short motivational essays, by Robin Sharma.

    You will read the chapters, write meanings of difficult words, and write a summary of a few chapters.

  • “Ten Scrolls,” (YouTube) 10 inspirational read-aloud essays by Og Mandino Its vocabulary will be discussed in class. You will read each scroll aloud twice a day.

  • English Vocabulary in Use” by Stuart Redman, Cambridge University Press Study some chapters and write grammar-based compositions on them.

  • “Conversation in Action” by JC Richards, Oxford University Press For at home practice from week four onwards, students will talk on WhatsApp video chat with their assigned class partners.

  • “Effective Public Speaking” a published book by Dipti Shah for reference “Powerful Public Speaking” 35-page summary notes by Dipti Shah (pdf) “A Mini-Series on Effective Public Speaking” - 21 YouTube videos by Dipti Shah

  • “Dipti Shah’s Reference Material”

  • Additional notes on various topics, like essay-, letter-, e-mail-writing and their assignments

  • There will be in-class practice of 100 English conversations, & 30+ speeches, group discussions and debates.

  • Amit Sir will take regular lectures on Self-Development on topics, like interview techniques, how to set and achieve goals, investment, marriage, relations and the purpose of life. Amitabh Shah of Yuva Unstoppable & a few other past students will give a guest lecture.
